Copywriting - The Million Dollar Skill
Follow our Newsletter
When you think about copywriting, you think of one of two things: 1)The process of having intellectual material protected under law, or 2) sales letters. I am going to talk about #2 Sales Letters. Copywriting is not something we are really taught in schooland it is hard to change your way of writing after being drilled for years to do it "correct" way (sorry english teachers) When you work online everything you do hinges on it. Trafficto your blogs, your websites, your social sites. With out goodcopy writing you can not convert vistitors into buyers. After all isn't that what your in business for? It's the most important ingredient in having remote control selling power - which is what you need to be working with the kinds of numbers necessary to send your business growth through the roof. You don't have time to sell everyone individually on visiting your website or opting in to your list or buying your retail product. That all needs to be automated through copy that does it for you. This process of selling to people in mass quantities is the most lucrative skill you can possess. If you can do this - or have someone do it for you - your income can be whatever you want it to be. Now, a sales letter may be the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word copywriting, but it's actually a lot more than that. Copywriting is really the ability to craft a great sales message in any form.
In the
Renagade University copywriting class
it teaches these skills step by step. You can go back over the information as many times and you need to.
Self-education
Most people who get into a business think they should be making a
million after 30 days in the business. That is not true.
Ask any highly successful person and they'll tell you that the best investment you can ever make is developing yourself and your capabilities.
The one common trait you'll find among people who have accumulated their own wealth (as opposed to inheriting it) is that all of them are fanatical about sharpening their own skills and will not hesitate to spend large sums of money if it means learning something that will be of great value to them.
I have spent thousands of dollars on my own education and I continue to do so. Now this doesn't mean you need to start
maxing out your credit cards and buying every book on the shelf
and every course online.
With that said, finding a good program to teach you well rounded information from copywriting to branding who you are, to using web 2.0.
The Renegade University actually offers all this in one place
Yes there are lots of free things out on the web that can get you started in learning skills. So often the free things leave alot of blanks that need to be filled in to be successful.
I have
put together a recommended reading list of books that
I have read and learned from. This could give you a starting place of where to begin reading.
